Inspiration is the New Innovation
Events are fast flourishing to be one of the most preferred choices when it comes to marketing activities and brand communications is concerned. It not only has an instant connect to its target audience but also it has a substantial amount of brand recall value. For any event to be successful, it should always have some experiential elements and one signature element, which connects with the demographics of the target audience and also leaves a long lasting impression on the mind of the audience. Having these elements in your event strategy would help in your brand recognition and in turn would increase your sales revenue. In order to strategize the most effective way of executing an event, every brand must look for a professional and experienced event management company.
Events keep on happening across the globe, entertaining the audience as well as informing them about their favorite brands, products or the organization on the whole. There is no fix or advisable process of executing an event. Any concept or an idea, which is convincing enough for the audience to connect with, can be turned into an event. It is rightly said that no event manager has a sound sleep. They would always keep on thinking and searching for innovative ideas to execute in their next project. So the question here arises that what exactly event managers do to create unique and most effective event for their client?
Activities that an event manager does when not on site of production can be defined and categorized in three steps:
Step 1 - Research:
Most event managers are very research oriented people. They would always keep on searching the World Wide Web for newer and better ideas for their next project. They are the Google junkies. They would always keep on searching for innovative ideas for executing different elements in an event. 5 years back who would have thought that you could create a 3D wall with lights on a solid structure using 3D projection mapping. Event managers would always keep a check on the market for the availability of newer technology in terms of lights, sound, fabrication of event set up, etc. These set of event managers consider themselves to be a part of a community where they share knowledge and expertise with each other.
Step 2 - Application:
Once they get to know about the latest technology and innovation in event execution they would understand the application of the process. They go deep into analyzing the application process of that technology in their current projects. They would study 360 degrees of applying the technology. Who are vendors, at what cost is it available, how much power supply is needed, where you place it in your event set up, how does it operates and do I need extra manpower to operate it, etc.
Step 3 - Relevance Measurement:
Once the details of the new technology are understood, an event manager works on its relevance in his current project. If by applying such technology, will the experiential value and acceptance value of the project increase? Answers to such questions are figured by checking with support staff and client.
In this very dynamic event industry, coming out with a unique idea every time is not always possible but doing the similar things in innovative and different ways by taking cues from others is certainly catching up. As I said earlier we are a huge community by ourselves where we share knowledge and expertise. Inspiration is the new innovation for the event managers. An Ideal event manager always strives to improvise, inspire and get inspired when he is not on the production site, that’s where the innovation comes out of his magician hat.
